After being previously announced back in March 2023, Mirage QUEEN’S Elegant Vacations – an upcoming theatrical original animation video based on the series of novels written by Kaoru Hayamine and illustrated by K2 Shoukai – now has a release window in Japan of Spring 2025.
A “Super Teaser” visual (below) has also been published for the film. The teaser visual features Queen disguised as Countess Angelique von Perigord and Joker disguised as their butler, Gilles.

The original Mirage QUEEN novels have been published in Japan since 2002 by Aoitori Bunko. The previous theatrical OAV, Mirage QUEEN Prefers Circus, is directed by Saori Den and features animation by East Fish Studio. HIDIVE currently streams Mirage QUEEN Prefers Circus, and describes the story as follows:
They always steal the prey they aim for. That is Phantom Thief QUEEN. Gender, age, nationality unknown. Together with their partner they travel around the world on the airship Troubadour. This time, the QUEEN is aiming for a cursed jewel, the legendary Rose of Linden. A hypnotist, an acrobat, a magician…the talented circus members challenge the QUEEN! To get back the jewel, the QUEEN stands up to the challenge in a bold and brilliant way (or disguise). Nothing is impossible for the QUEEN!
