The official website and accounts for the upcoming Tasuketsu anime adaptation revealed today that the previously announced July 2 premiere date for the survival game series will commence a continuous two-cour broadcast, while also unveiling a brand-new key visual and more cast members.

Based on the manga by Taiga Miyagawa, Tatsuo Sato (Helck) directs and serves as series composer for Tasuketsu at studio Satelight, with character designs by Nami Hayashi and music by R・O・N (I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability).
The story of Tasuketsu is described as follows:
“All of a sudden, people all over the world die because of a majority decision started by the “Emperor.” Survivors have to take a majority decision at 00:00 am, then the majority of people will have to die. The protagonist high school boy Saneatsu Narita and his schoolmates decide to defeat the Emperor.”
