FromSoftware’s highly-anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree DLC will expand the world of Elden Ring on June 21, and Elden Ring gag manga author Nikiichi Tobita isn’t about to miss out on it. Earlier this week, Tobita hopped on X (formerly Twitter) to announce that his Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree manga will be going on hiatus. The reason is simple: Tobita will be busy playing the new DLC.The X account for KADOKAWA’s Comic Hu acknowledged Tobita’s hiatus, saying they understand he’ll be “conducting research.”
A new chapter is set to debut on July 4, but the series won’t have a new installment on July 19. This is the kind of research we can get behind.
Yen Press publishes the Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree manga in English and describes it:

Follow Aseo the Tarnished as he begins his journey through the Lands Between on the long, looong road to becoming the next Elden Lord. What Aseo lacks in strength, speed, intelligence, charisma, skill, experience, intuition, and common sense, he makes up for in…uhhh…
