Ahead of the anime’s broadcast debut on July 9, The Magical Girl and The Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies released a brand-new trailer today that previews the fantasy romance series’ opening theme song, “Mikansei Rendezvous” by Lezel.
The ending theme song will be “Itsumo Futari ga Ii ne” by main cast members Yuki Ono and Mai Nakahara as their characters Mira and Byakuya, respectively.
Based on the manga by Cocoa Fujiwara, Akiyo Ohashi (The Stranger by the Shore) directs The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies at studio Bones, with series composition by Yuniko Ayana (given), character designs by Haruko Iizuka (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) and music by MAYUKO (Ranking of Kings).
Yen Press publishes an official English version of the original manga and describes the story:
