Key visual
In addition to the previously announced Shunsuke Takeuchi (Jean Yunghart in Metallic Rouge) as the protagonist Dolan and Hitomi Sekine (Ellis Seifort in Berserk of Gluttony) as the main heroine Serina, two new voice cast members were announced.
Ayaka Ohashi (Uzuki Shimamura in THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS) plays Christina, an incomparably beautiful swordswoman. Message from Ohashi:It makes me really happy to be invited to play the role of Christina in a series that has been so loved for so long. Christina is an amazing woman—she’s brilliant and dignified, she can hold her own on the front lines, and she cares for her friends. She also has a charming side to her. I had a lot of fun bringing out all the different sides of her character during recording sessions. It’s a heartwarming story that inspires you to take a second look at your own life after you see it, so look forward to seeing it on air!
Akane Matsunaga (Aine Yuuki in Aikatsu Friends!) plays Airi, the granddaughter of the human Dolan’s master.Message from Matsunaga:From the time I first read the original story, I felt the warmth of Dolan’s life in the village after reincarnating as a human, as well as the charm of the relationships he builds that surpass species. I especially love the adorable relationship between Dolan and Celina! Just recording the voices soothed my soul, but I’m still excited to see the complete anime. It has a way of making you feel at ease, so I really hope people who feel like they’re too busy every day to let their minds relax will watch it!

Once upon a time, the most ancient of divine dragons was slain by a human. The dragon, an immensely powerful being who had lived for an eternity and was feared even by the gods, accepted death along with the solitude it brought. However, the next thing the dragon knew, it had been granted a second life as Dolan, a human living in a remote village. Now that Dolan has a far shorter life span than he did as a dragon, he spends his days working hard in the fields and hunting animals for food. His life in the village is simple, but warm and filled with small joys that he never experienced as a dragon. But then, while he’s out investigating a swamp one day, Dolan comes face to face with Serina, a half-human, half-snake being known as a lamia. She says that she’s traveling in search of a mate, and that lamias aren’t very good at seducing humans. Despite being incompatible species, the two of them gradually open up to each other… but all sorts of outsiders stand in their way! This is a fantasy story about a former all-powerful ancient dragon starting a brand-new life in a remote province!
