2021’s Let’s Make a Mug Too anime is heading to theaters. Gifu Prefecture’s Tajimi City government announced plans to screen a compilation film—which will cover the first season—at the city’s Valor Cultural Hall in March 2025. There are also plans to screen a compilation film of the second season at some point, but there’s currently no date in place for that. The Tajimi City government hopes to build excitement for the possible production of a third season, which has yet to be announced or confirmed in any way.

Let’s Make a Mug Too is based on the promotional manga for the city of Tajimi. Crunchyroll streams both seasons and describes the story as follows:

Together with her father, who had quit his salaryman job, Toyokawa Himeno moves to Gifu prefecture’s Tajimi city. That’s the city where her mother is from, whom she had lost when she was still young. Himeno is now attending her mother’s alma mater, where her classmate Kukuri Mika invites her to tag along to a special place. That place turns out to be the pottery club! There, she learns for the first time that her mother was a legendary potter, and is consequently pulled into the world of pottery.
