Twilight Out of Focus, an upcoming TV anime based on the boys’ love josei manga of the same name, has published a new trailer, a new key visual (below), and additional information about the opening and ending themes for the series. The series will broadcast in Japan on TOKYO MX and BS Fuji beginning on July 4, 2024, with an additional broadcast to follow on AT-X beginning on July 11.
Ikusaburo Yamazaki performs the opening theme for the series, which is entitled “Crank Up”. Amber performs the ending theme for the series, which is entitled “Unchain x Unchain”. Both songs are highlighted in the trailer above.The original Twilight Out of Focus manga by Jyanome is serialized in Kodansha’s Honey Milk josei magazine, and an English language version is also available from Kodansha USA. Toshinori Watanabe directs the TV anime at Studio DEEN, while Yoshimi Narita provides the series composition, Yoko Kikuchi provides the character designs, and Satoshi Houno and Kaori Nakano provide the music.

Second-years Mao Tsuchiya and Hisashi Ohtomo make three promises: 1) That Mao will never tell anyone that Hisashi is gay and has a boyfriend, 2) That Hisashi will never think of Mao “in that way,” and 3) That they’ll always knock before entering, in case someone is having some “private time.” The two’s ground rules should ensure a peaceful life together in their dorm, but life is never as simple as it should be, and some things are not so easily promised…
