The anime adaptation of survival game manga Tasuketsu has just released a new trailer showcasing the world and battles of the upcoming series, as well as the cast and a confirmation of a release date this summer. Plus, we get a sample of “Emperor Time,” the show’s opening theme by visual-kei band VIVARUSH. Take a look:

Tasuketsu Anime Adaptation Releases New Trailer Confirming July 2 Release Date, New Cast

The series is set to premiere in Japan on July 2.

The original Tasuketsu manga by Taiga Miyakawa is serialized by ComicSmart in their GANMA! digital manga magazine. Tatsuo Sato writes and directs the TV anime adaptation at animation studio Satelight. Toro Hamazaki serves as assistant director, Nami Hayashi provides the character designs, Yayoi Tateishi serves as sound director, and R・O・N provides the music.

The story of Tasuketsu is described as follows:

“All of a sudden, people all over the world die because of a majority decision started by the “Emperor.” Survivors have to take a majority decision at 00:00 am, then the majority of people will have to die. The protagonist high school boy Saneatsu Narita and his schoolmates decide to defeat the Emperor.”
