The deer-disliking Student Council members of the My Deer Friend Nokotan anime were revealed today in the second trailer for the adaptation of Oshioshio’s manga series. Galloping along is also a new key visual of the four Deer Club members and the unveiling of the opening and ending theme tunes.
Joining the cast of My Deer Friend Nokotan as the Student Council members are:
Nekoyamada Neko (Neko-chan) voiced by Yurika Kubo (Hanayo Koizumi in Love Live! School Idol Project)
Tanukikouji Kinu (Tanuki) voiced by Rio Tsuchiya (Madoka Higuchi in THE iDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS)
Tsubameya Chiharu (Tsubame) voiced by Chinatsu Akasaki (Alice Nakiri in Food Wars! Shokugeki no Souma)
The opening theme song, which is previewed in the above trailer, is “Shikairo Days” by the Deer Club, which is made up of the voices actors for the in-series chaotic school club. The ending theme song is “Shika-senbei no Uta” performed by Megumi Han and Saki Fujita in character as Shikanoko Noko and Koshi Torako.
Masahiko Ota (Himouto! Umaru-chan, Onipan!) is directing My Deer Friend Nokotan at WIT Studio, with series composition by Takashi Aoshima, character designs by Ayumu Tsujimura and music by Yasuhiro Misawa (HINAMATSURI). The series will premiere in Japan on July 7.
As per the press release, the series is described as such:
Koshi Torako, a high schooler, one day feels something cold hit her face. Looking up, she spots a girl stuck, her antlers tangled in power lines. Helping Shikanoko, antlered and peculiar, turns Torako’s life, a model student by appearance only, upside down. Thus begins a tale of a girl (once a delinquent) and another (a deer?), in this Girl Meets Deer adventure!
