Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest—a series of fantasy light novels written by Ibarakino and illustrated by Yu Hitaki—is being adapted into a TV anime that will broadcast in Japan in 2025. A teaser visual (below) and official website for the new project have been revealed. At the time of this writing, no further details (such as the cast and the staff) have been revealed.
The original Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest light novels are published in Japan by Kodansha under their K Light Novel Books imprint, and a manga adaptation with artwork by Morohoshi Fuji is also serialized on the “Maga Pocke” (“Magazine Pocket”) digital manga app. Kodansha Comics publishes an English language version of the manga, and describes the story as follows:
In a fantasy world where “jobs” are god-given from birth, heroes are born, not made…and Ein’s job of “Appraiser” has put him about as far from the “hero” pedestal as possible. Used, abused, and eventually abandoned by his fellow adventurers, Ein decides it just isn’t worth going on… Lucky for Ein, though, the end may just be the beginning…and a new lease on life. Turns out, his “worthless” job may just be the key to becoming a hero after all…
