Fans of The Eminence in Shadow got a big surprise at this weekend’s Season 2 event: a trailer for the new movie!Titled The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes, this brand-new animated feature will pick up where Season 2 left off. In the trailer, we see Cid fighting in what looks like a devastated Japan… while Mordred gets his world turned completely upside-down:

The movie was originally announced in December. More information on the upcoming film, such as staff and release dates, will be forthcoming.The original The Eminence in Shadow light novels are written by Daisuke Aizawa, illustrated by Touzai and published in Japan by Enterbrain. An English language version of the novels is also available from Yen Press. The Eminence in Shadow TV anime is directed by Kazuya Nakanishi at animation studio Nexus.
