Animation studios CONTRAIL and MAPPA have teamed up with musicians Nulbarich, Sunny, and UMI to produce a music video for the newly released song “Lucky (feat. UMI)”. The song is part of the Pokémon Music Collective, a project that seeks to bring the sounds of the Pokémon video game series to the world through original music.

Kyohei Ishiguro directed and storyboarded the music video, with Ryota Kitsunai serving as assistant director. Huang Chieh provided the character designs and image boards, as well as served as the chief animation director. Chieko Nakamura was the art director. The collaboration marks the first time that MAPPA has provided animation for a Pokémon project.
