Hell’s Paradise. BELLE. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2045. You’ve heard the music of Daiki Tsuneta and MILLENNIUM PARADE, and today, we’re excited to exclusively reveal the first music video for the creative collective’s new era right here on Crunchyroll News. You can watch it below:
“GOLDENWEEK,” which was first released as an audio single earlier this month, comes to life as a dynamic, mesmerizing music video with stark visuals and a clear expansion of the sound Tsuneta has developed with the MILLENNIUM PARADE project.
Tsuneta, who also fronts the rock band King Gnu (with music seen in JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 and Ranking of Kings), said “GOLDENWEEK” marks the beginning of a “visionary project” for the band, citing his worldwide travels and seeing fans around the world hear his music.
“We’re ready to bring the sound of Tokyo to international listeners,” Tsuneta said. “From the beginning of MILLENNIUM PARADE, we’ve been thinking about the perception of international listeners and what they think about Japan.”
This track is also the first in MILLENNIUM PARADE’s three-way label deal with Sony Music Entertainment Japan, RCA UK and Epic Records, with Tsuneta teasing new sounds and genre-bending collaborations to come. “GOLDENWEEK” is also featured as the theme to an ongoing campaign with Sony Interactive Entertainment featuring the PlayStation PULSE Elite wireless headset.
