It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since the Yowamushi Pedal anime debuted! Based on the manga of the same name by Wataru Watanabe, the anime will be celebrating its tenth anniversary in style with a special exhibition in Saitama.
The Yowamushi Pedal TV Anime 10th Anniversary Festival (or YowaPeda Anime Fest) will be a large-scale exhibition hosting photo spots recreating scenes from the series, as well as a life-sized figure of protagonist Sakamichi Onoda. New illustrations are also being created for the exhibition, which the event’s X (formerly Twitter) account is teasing with silhouettes. The new art will be unveiled starting May 29.
Original merchandise featuring this new art will also be available at the venue.
The YowaPeda Anime Fest will take place from August 10 to September 23 at the Tokorozawa Sakura Town EJ Anime Museum in Saitama. More information will be available as the event approaches.
Don’t forget, you can watch the Yowamushi Pedal anime right here on Crunchyroll!
Onoda Sakamichi is a rather timid, anime-loving first-year student at Sohoku High School. Upon entering high school, he tried to join the anime research club, but after meeting Imaizumi Shunsuke, a renowned cyclist since middle school, and Naruko Shoukichi, who swept the Kansai cycling championship, he ended up joining the competitive cycling club.
