Following a current theatrical release in Japan, Crunchyroll is announcing today the anime adaptation of Inio Asano’s manga DEAD DEAD DEMONS DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION will start streaming on the platform this week! Releasing in a new episodic format, DEAD DEAD DEMONS DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION will premiere on Crunchyroll on May 23 at 8:00 p.m. PT, with new episodes premiering weekly. Inio Asano began publishing DEAD DEAD DEMONS DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine from 2014-2022, for a total of 12 volumes. VIZ Media releases an English version of the manga.Two movies based on the manga were released with the first part on March 22, with the second part premiering in Japan on May 24, 2024. Tomoyuki Kurokawa directed the films at studio Production +h, with Reiko Yoshida handling series composition, Nobutake Ito on character designs and chief animation direction and Taro Umebayashi on music. As previously reported, the first teaser trailer for the second movie announced the film will depict an original ending.
