There’s still a little magic left to cast in the Spring 2024 English dub season, powered by the return of Tatsuya and Miyuki for a new year and new season of The Irregular at Magic High School! The first episode officially begins streaming on Crunchyroll starting May 17, 2024!

Animation director Jimmy Stone, who previously worked on the anime in various capacities — including as an episode director, mechanical designer, key animator and more — takes up the helm as the series director at studio eightbit. Mueno Nakamoto handles the screenplay, with Kana Ishida as Chief Animation Director and handling character designs. Taku Iwasaki is in charge of the music.

Based on the light novel by Tsutomu Sato, The irregular at magic high school is set in a world where magic exists but instead of using chants and spells, magic users cast spells with their Casting Assistant Device (CAD). The CAD is infused with the user’s Psions (a substance-less thought particle) that activates the device and constructs the magic ritual.
