Nintendo released their Fiscal Year Ending March 2024 reports today revealing insights into how the company has faired over the last 12 months and how much Nintendo is making thanks to the weak yen.
While the reports confirmed that Nintendo made a greater profit in the last 12 months compared to the year prior, the President of Nintendo, Shuntaro Furukawa, announced on Nintendo Japan’s Twitter the most interesting piece of information of the day– the confirmation of a Nintendo Switch successor console.
In true Nintendo fashion, any more details on the Nintendo Switch successor were not revealed by the Kyoto company. Instead, a full announcement will happen for the console before the end of March 2025, within this Japanese fiscal year.
What’s more, Nintendo also announced in the same post that a Nintendo Direct will be held in June and focus on games and software for the Nintendo Switch for the back half of 2024 without any information on the Nintendo Switch successor. No date for the June Nintendo Direct was confirmed.
