Sumireko, Shizuku and Oto are serving in more ways than one in a special illustration released by the official Mysterious Disapperances anime Twitter account to commemorate Maid Day on May 10 in Japan.

Based on the manga by Nujima, Tomomi Michizuki (House of Five Leaves) directs Mysterious Disappearances at studio Zero-G, with character designs by Takuya Tani (Muv-Luv Alternative) and music by Yukio Kando and Kayo Konishi (Pupa).

Sumireko Ogawa’s dream of becoming a novelist is reinvigorated with new rumors of mystical incidents. Now a clerk at a bookstore, she enlists her young coworker, Ren Adashino, to investigate urban legends, black magic, and ghost stories across the city.
