WIND BREAKER, an ongoing TV anime based on the manga about high school hoodlums, has revealed a new key visual (below) as well as new cast members for the Shishito-ren (“Lion Mask Tribe”), a gang of rival brawlers who face off against the members of Bofurin. The series is currently broadcasting in Japan and is also streaming on Crunchyroll as part of the spring 2024 anime simulcast lineup.

The original WIND BREAKER manga by Satoru Nii is serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket publication, and an English language version is also available from Kodansha USA. Toshifumi Akai directs the anime adaptation at animation studio CloverWorks. Hiroshi Seko provides the series composition, Taishi Kawakami provides the character designs, and Ryo Takahashi provides the music.

Welcome to Furin High School, an institution infamous for its population of brawny brutes who solve every conflict with a show of strength. Some of the students even formed a group, Bofurin, which protects the town.
