According to a statement released by the voice acting agency Office Kaoru, actor Yasuo Muramatsu passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 91. A private funeral service was held and attended by family members. Muramatsu founded Office Kaoru on March 3, 1992.Muramatsu was born in Tokyo on April 6, 1933, and he began acting in 1955 when he joined the Shiki Theatre Company. Over the course of his long career in voice acting and narration, Muramatsu played such notable roles as General Revil in the Mobile Suit Gundam films (1981 – 1982), Hans in Dog of Flanders (1975), John Sadler in Anne of Green Gables (1979), and Mayor Roman in Vampire Hunter D (1985). Muramatsu also worked as an actor in Japanese dubs of international films, for example in the role of Governor Weatherby Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean films.
