The first episode of the TV anime adaptation of Negi Haruba’s romantic comedy manga series The Quintessential Quintuplets aired in Japan on January 11, 2019, and a special project to celebrate its fifth anniversary launched on January 1, as previously reported.As part of the project, a commemorative song “Kimi Dattakara” (Because It’s You) will be available on digital services on April 17. The anime’s official website announced the news on April 11.

The song is, of course, sung by the Nakano family’s quintuplet sisters — Ichika (voiced by Kana Hanazawa), Nino (voiced by Ayana Taketatsu), Miku (voiced by Miku Ito), Yostuba (voiced by Ayane Sakura), and Istuki (voiced by Inori Minase). Singer-songwriter Aira Yuuki writes the lyrics, while Keita Miyoshi, who provided the anime’s character songs, works on the music and arrangement.Additionally, the fifth anniversary best album is set to release in Japan on September 18, 2024. Details of the album are unknown, but those who pre-order the album by June 30 at designated stores will receive a special original postcard.

The anime’s official website announced the news on April 11. A two-day anniversary event is also scheduled for April 27 and 28.The first season of the TV anime The Quintessential Quintuplets aired for 12 episodes from January to March 2019, and the second season followed with another 12 episodes from January to March 2021. Then, the feature film The Quintessential Quintuplets The Movie released in Japan in May 2022. Crunchyroll, which streams both seasons and the movie, describes the series:
