Japanese publisher Tokyo News Tsushinsha has announced that voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi’s first photo book is set to release in Japan on May 24, 2024.Konishi, who is 50 now, started his voice acting career in 1996 and is known for his portrayal as Diavolo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Tengen Uzuki in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. In a career spanning nearly 30 years, this is his first photo book and is expected to be his last according to the press release.The publication was inspired by the magazine “TV Guide VOICE STARS Dandyism vol.6” released in 2011. The huge response to his first solo cover in his life led to the release of this photo book. From the meeting stage, Konishi himself came up with the idea of “expressing the changes from his debut to the present,” and asked Yosuke Komatsu, whom he has known and trusted for a long time, to be the photographer. And the costumes included personal items that Konishi had never shown off before, totaling nearly 20 outfits.

Ladies and gentlemen, it has been 524 years (a pun of Ko-Ni-Shi / 5-2-4 in Japanese) in the blink of an eye, and I am pleased to announce the publication of my photo book. Time flies. As for the contents of the book, we took a lot of pictures with the help of our staff. I don’t know how many types of outfits we taken. And I don’t know if all of them will be in the book. This is the first time for me to do something like this, so I am looking forward to seeing what we can come up with. Please take a look!
