The official YouTube channel for voice actor/singer Aimi, best known as Kasumi Toyama in the BanG Dream! franchise, has started streaming a music video for her new song “Meritocracy.” The rock tune is now featured as the ending theme for the spring 2024 TV anime The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases, in which she is also cast as one of its main characters, Mylene.

“Meritocracy” will be included in her new album “LIVE IT NOW” to release in Japan on June 12, 2024. The 11-song album also features her recent three single songs — “MAGICAL DESTROYER” (Magical Destroyers opening theme), “Bonou☆Paradise” (TenPuru opening theme), and “HELP” (Helck second opening theme).

The TV anime adaptation of Shin Kozuki’s fantasy light novel series The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases premiered in Japan on April 2, 2024, and its first three episodes are now available on Crunchyroll for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.Crunchyroll describes the series:
