The television arm of Legendary Entertainment’s Monsterverse is officially set to continue. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has been renewed for a second season, and there are also multiple spinoffs planned for the series.Specific details are light, but the crew from the first season is returning for more, including showrunners and co-creators Chris Black and Matt Fraction, who are executive producing the new season.
Beyond Monarch: Legacy of Monsters—which ran for 10 episodes on Apple TV+ starting on November 17, 2023—the Monsterverse currently includes Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024).
