The official YouTube channel for singer-songwriter Sayaka Yamamoto has started streaming a music video for her latest digital single song, “Blue Star.” The ballad, written and composed by Yamamoto, is now featured as the ending theme for the spring 2024 TV anime An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride.Yamamoto was a former member of Japanese female idol group NMB48 and AKB48. After leaving the groups in 2018, she started building her new career as a singer-songwriter, releasing five CD singles and four albums so far.”Blue Star” is her first anime theme work. In a recent interview with Encore, she described her excitement when she first saw the anime footage: “Well, I was in tears. I had longed to collaborate with an anime series, so it was a joy to finally see it come true. Plus, the high affinity with the anime…I didn’t realize how good my song sounded (laughs).” and “The anime visual was more effective and I felt that it used my music so well. I really think that the combination of both made it a very good one.”
