After a decade, the story of Sakuta’s antics are ending with Dengeki Bunko announcing today that Hajime Kamoshida’s Rascal Does Not Dream light novel series will end in its 15th volume. The story will come to a climax in the 14th volume of the series and end in the 15th volume. Author Kamoshida has confirmed that he has already finished writing the last volume and states that he’d “like to spend a good 10th anniversary with everyone.”

A combined 14th and 15th volume visual was released revealing a drama CD will be released alongside special editions of each volume.

Rascal Does Not Dream Light Novel Series Comes to an End in October

The first volume of Rascal Does Not Dream, titled Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, was released in Japan in April 2014 and the series since then has sold 3 million copies across 13 volumes in Japan. The 14th volume will be released on August 9 while the 15th and final volume will be released on October 10.

Hajime Kamoshida’s Rascal Does Not Dream light novel series has spawned multiple anime works, including 2018’s Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai TV anime and the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl, Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid anime films. A continuing anime adaptation of the series as it heads into its “University Arc” has been announced.

Puberty syndrome – Abnormal experiences rumored on the internet to be caused by sensitivity and instability during adolescence. This year, Sakuta Azusagawa, a second-year student at a high school near Enoshima, meets several girls that are experiencing this “puberty syndrome.” For instance, he meets a wild bunny girl in the library. She turns out to be an actress on hiatus, Mai Sakurajima, who is also his senior at the school. For some reason, no one else can see this enchanting girl. How did she become invisible…?
