Blue Period, an art-themed drama manga by Tsubasa Yamaguchi, is being adapted into a live-action film that will hit Japanese theaters on August 9, 2024. Kentaro Hagiwara directs the movie adaptation, Reiko Yoshida provides the script, Yuuki “Yaffle” Kojima provides the music, and Warner Bros. Pictures distributes the film. The cast includes:

The original Blue Period manga has been serialized since 2017 in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon seinen manga magazine, and a total of 15 collected volumes for the series have been published in Japan. The series has previously been adapted into a TV anime in 2021 and a stage-play in 2022.
