Some quick news for all of your modern-day shinobi: The latest issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine announced today that UNDER NINJA, a seinen manga by Kengo Hanazawa, will be adapted into a live-action film, with a special illustration by Hanazawa released alongside the announcement. Additional details, such as the release date and the cast and staff, will be revealed at a later date.

The original UNDER NINJA manga is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine since 2018, and 12 collected volumes are published in Japan to date. An English language version is also available from Denpa books. A TV anime adaptation aired from October to December 2023, and streamed on Crunchyroll, who the story of UNDER NINJA:
