The official YouTube channel for musical unit Kiminone began streaming a music video for its latest song, “Laid Back Journey,” which is now featured as the opening theme for the third season of the Laid-Back Camp TV anime.The music video for “Laid Back Journey” featuring the seven-member idol group Candy Tune was entirely shot in the Hamamatsu City and Lake Hamana area, where the anime story takes place, the Shizuoka Shimbun reported. According to the city’s Tourism and City Promotion Division, the clip was filmed with location support from the city. The city hopes that people around the world will discover the charms of Hamamatsu through the anime, as the city’s vast nature and famous landmarks appear one after another.

“Laid Back Journey” released digitally first on April 5, and its CD single is set to release on April 24.Kiminone launched in 2023 as a unique music project to compose theme songs for “fictional stories” created by storyteller Tsumugi Shachi. The unit consists of Tsumugi Shachi herself as vocalist, along with Maon Kusashita as sound creator and Mai Otani as violinist.

Following the first season in 2018 and the second season in 2021, the much-awaited third season of the TV anime Laid-Back Camp premiered in Japan on April 4, 2024. Nadeshiko, a high school student who had moved from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to see the famous, 1000 yen-bill-featured Mount Fuji. Even though she manages to bike all the way to Motosu, she’s forced to turn back because of worsening weather. Unable to set her eyes on her goal, she faints partway to her destination. When she wakes up, it’s night, in a place she’s never been before, with no way of knowing how to get home. Nadeshiko is saved when she encounters Rin, a girl who is out camping by herself. This outdoorsy girls story begins with this first encounter between Nadeshiko and Rin.
