Since its debut in Japan on February 16, the first Haikyu!! FINAL film has been dominating at the box office. So far, it has grossed more than 8.26 billion yen in box office revenue, attracting 5.77 million theatergoers. To celebrate this massive milestone, a new visual has been drawn up.

The new poster shows Kozume and Kuroo, both as children and as high-schoolers, with the tagline “This moment will last forever.”

Earlier this month, the film also started hosting English-subtitled screenings in select theaters across Japan. The film continues to welcome guests and celebrate its successes with gifts for theatergoers as well (available while supplies last).

Toho Animation returns to produce the two Haikyu!! FINAL anime films with the animation continuing to be made by the team at Production I.G, including Susumu Mitsunaka as director and screenwriter, Takahiro Kishida as character designer and Takahiro Chiba as chief animation director. The first film, titled Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, was released in Japan on February 16, 2024. No date for the second film has been announced as of yet.

Haikyu!! ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 20, 2012, to July 20, 2020, with all 402 chapters collected into 45 volumes. All the chapters are available in English on the Shonen Jump app.

Crunchyroll is streaming all four TV anime seasons of the Haikyu!! adaptation, describing it as such:

Based off of the original Weekly Shonen Jump manga series from Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime revolving around Shoyo Hinata’s love of volleyball. Inspired by a small-statured pro volleyball player, Hinata creates a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. Unfortunately the team is matched up against the “King of the Court” Tobio Kageyama’s team in their first tournament and inevitably lose. After the crushing defeat, Hinata vows to surpass Kageyama After entering high school, Hinata joins the volleyball team only to find that Tobio has also joined.
