Square Enix has released version update 1.1 for Star Ocean: The Second Story R. This patch adds a plethora of new features to the game, including new bosses and an additional difficulty mode.Chaos is a new ultra-hard difficulty level above Universe and enemy stats will be even higher than ever.
The game’s antagonists, the Ten Wise Men, will now show up as Raid Bosses throughout the world. These versions are more powerful than their storyline counterparts, but offer great rewards upon defeating them. They drop Jewels that will allow your party to summon them in battle to fire off a single attack with the Assault Action system. There are also new weapons and armor that can be obtained through Item Creation or dropped by Raid Bosses.Lastly, there are several NPCs who gain dialogue illustrations in new cutscenes added to the game, drawn by Yukihiro Kajimoto. The NPC characters include Clyde, Regis, Eleanor, Leifath, Mariana and Allen.Star Ocean: The Second Story R is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.Source: Press Release
