Marvelous, XSEED and Team GrisGris have announced that Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion will be released this fall for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion follows three high school friends—Haruka Nanami, Nemu Takanashi, and Maria Hitsugi—as they explore the Amare Est Vivere Hospital. In order to boost their subscriber numbers, they test an urban legend ritual called Ayame’s Mercy.The ritual ends up working and the girls trigger a curse that sends them into a dark realm. They must work together to avoid Ayame Kirishima’s vengeful spirit and end the curse for good.
Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion will cost $50 for the standard physical edition, while the Ayame Mercy special edition will cost $80. The latter includes a copy of the game with a reversible cover, an LED blue candle light, a 64-page art book, an art card and an “evidence kit” containing items from the game.
