During the AnimeJapan 2024 stage panel today, the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club series screened a special clip to introduce a key visual for the first part of the three-part film titled Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter.

The first season of the TV anime Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club aired from October to December 2020 and the second season followed from April to June 2022. And its sequel OVA (original video animation) titled Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club NEXT SKY released in Japanese theaters in June 2023. The three-part film series will tell a a story after NEXT SKY and center on an event called “School Idol GPX” according to the video. The first part is set to release in Japanese theaters on September 6, 2024.
Also at the same stage panel, two more videos were screened: One is a new trailer for the upcoming second season of the TV anime NIJIYON ANIMATION, and another is a preview for its opening theme song “Nijigasaki High School Anthem.”NIJIYON ANIMATION is based on the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club series’ four-panel spin-off manga, Nijiyon ~Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Yonkoma, drawn by Miyakohito. Following the first season that aired for 12 episodes from January to March 2023, the second season is set to premiere in Japan on April 5, 2024.
