At a special stage event held at AnimeJapan 2024 today, the upcoming anime Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture released a new trailer and visual, announcing release dates for all four parts and previewing the ending theme song “Rozé” by Hikari Mitsushima, produced by TeddyLoid.Part 1 will screen in Japanese theaters from May 10 later this year, followed by Part 2 on June 7, Part 3 on July 5 and the final part on August 2. The series was also announced to be released as 12 episodes on Disney Plus under the ‘Star” brand.

Set in the world created by Goro Taniguchi and Ichiro Okouchi, Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture is being directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi at studio Sunrise, with scripts by Noboru Kimura and new character designs by CLAMP adapted for animation by Takahiro Kimura and Hidekazu Shimamura. The project was originally revealed in December 2020.The story follows two mercenary brothers from what was once Hokkaido in Year 7 of the Kowa era: Ash, the elder with high athletic and Knightmare piloting abilities, and Rozé, the younger with a knack for collecting intelligence and leadership, who embark on a quest to recapture Empress Sakuya from the clutches of the Neo Britannian Empire.
