The official website for the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation TV anime franchise released a new trailer for its upcoming second cour of the second season today after the series’ panel at the AnimeJapan 2024 stage event.The clip features the new ending theme song, “Mamoritai Mono” (“A thing that I want to protect”) performed by singer-songwriter Yuiko Ohara for the first time. She wrote and composed all of the theme songs for the first season and sang the second cour’s first ending theme song, “Musubime” (“A knot”). Ohara also performed the song live for the audience at the AJ2024 stage.

Following the first season of the TV anime adaptation of Rifujin na Magonote’s isekai fantasy light novel series in 2021, the first cour of its second season aired for 13 episodes from July to September 2023. As previously reported, its second cour is set to premiere in Japan on April 7, 2024.Ryosuke Shibuya (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World) newly servs as director in place of the first cour’s Hiroki Hirano.
