The previously announced compilation film adapting the Gintama anime’s Courtesan of a Nation Arc, which originally spanned episodes 257 to 261, released a brand-new trailer today ahead of a June 21, 2024 theatrical release in Japan.Titled Gintama on Theater 2D Ikkoku Keisei-hen, the film is slated for a limited three-week run and will feature extra footage as part of the series’ 20th anniversary.

In a world where aliens have invaded Edo Period Japan, skyscrapers, trains and motor bikes have replaced the simple life of Earth inhabitants.
