Today, the last episode of short comedy anime Little Shark’s Day Out debuted… or so we thought! At the end of the sweet little series, it was announced that Kozame-chan’s adventures will continue in a new animated series.
To celebrate, the anime’s official channel put up the ending credit sequence for the “final” episode, including the announcement at the end:
Penguin Box, the creator of the original manga series that inspired the anime, also shared a celebratory image of Kozame-chan and friends looking toward their bright future:
More information on the new series, including premiere dates, is forthcoming.
Based on the web manga by Penguin Box, Little Shark’s Day Out is directed by Marina Maki at studio ENGI, starring Kana Hanazawa (Mitsuri in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as the titular itty-bitty biter.
The series, which is streaming free on YouTube with English subtitles, follows Kozame-chan’s adventures in Yauo town, which smells “nostalgic.” From radio exercises to festival stalls to meeting with friends, Kozame-chan has a variety of heartwarming experiences in the town.
