Beloved anime studio Kyoto Animation and anison singer Minori Chihara have joined forces once again for the performer’s 20th anniversary. To celebrate the singer, KyoAni has drawn part of a poster for Chihara’s upcoming Historical Parade performance on August 3 and 4, which features the singer alongside an anime version of her.
Chihara and Kyoto Animation have had a long relationship with Chihara not only performing theme songs for KyoAni works, but voiced characters such as Yuki Nagato in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Kaori Nakaseko in Sound! Euphonium, Erica Brown in Violet Evergarden and many more anime by the studio. Chihara has also appeared multiple times at Kyoto Animation Music Festivals throughout the years.
The 20th-anniversary show, Historical Parade, will be held at Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater in Yamanashi prefecture on August 3 and 4 with tickets on sale now.
