Crunchyroll just announced during its Anime Expo 2024 industry panel that the upcoming BLUE LOCK Season 2 anime will stream on the platform when it premieres in Japan in October 2024.

Season 1 Synopsis: Japan’s desire for World Cup glory leads the Japanese Football Association to launch a new rigorous training program to find the national team’s next striker. Three hundred high school players are pitted against each other for the position, but only one will come out on top. Who among them will be the striker to usher in a new era of Japanese soccer?
Based on the award-winning manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, Yuji Haibara acts as Chief Director for BLUE LOCK Season 2, with Shintaro Inokawa also acting as director. Taku Kishimoto will continue to handle the series composition for Season 2, with Kenji Tanabe on Character Design and Jun Murayama also returning for the music. Studio eightbit will continue to handle the animation production.Tetsuaki Watanabe (Haikyu!! episode director) directed the first BLUE LOCK season with Shunsuke Ishikawa as assistant director (Sword Art Online Alicization episode director) at studio eightbit (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime).
