Nintendo Switch digital releases were previously announced for the trio of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth games, which were slated to arrive in eShop in the west on May 21. Those plans have since been postponed, with Idea Factory International promising further details at a later date.At the time of this writing, there’s no new release window in place. The press release simply states that the digital release for Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 Sisters Generation and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation has been “postponed until further notice.”
The first entry in the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth series—which serves as a complete remake of the original Hyperdimension Neptunia game—launched on PS Vita in Japan back in October 2013, followed by the west in August 2014 and, eventually, a PC release via Steam. Here’s how Idea Factory International describes that entry:
In the world of Gamindustri, four CPUs (also known as Goddesses) battled for supremacy in the War of the Guardians. One of the CPUs – Neptune – was defeated by the others and banished from the heavens. In her fall from grace, Neptune’s memories were lost, but a mysterious book revealed itself to her with knowledge of all of Gaminudstri’s history. Joined by Compa, IF, and the sentient book known as Histoire, Neptune embarks on an extraordinary journey across four different nations on a quest to save the entire world!
