Alisa Mikhailovna Kujo is the north star of the show in more ways than one, as voice actress Sumire Uesaka (Nagatoro in DONT TOY WITH ME, MISS NAGATORO) performs both theme songs for the Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian anime. Each episode will feature a different ending song cover by Uesaka in character as Alya.
Featuring “1-ban Kagayaku Hoshi” and “Gakuen Tengoku”, respectively, creditless versions of the opening and ending sequences from Episode 1 are now available to watch below.

Based on the light novels by Sunsunsun and Momoco, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian is directed by Ryota Ito (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie), who also serves as series composer, at studio Doga Kobo alongside Yuhei Murota (Love Live! series) as character designer and chief animation director.
Crunchyroll is simulcasting the anime series and describes the story:
Alya is a transfer student enjoying popularity at her new high school, often sporting a cold shoulder while earning high marks in class. She ignores her nerdy classmate, Kuze Masachika, except for when she blurts out a flirtatious line to him in Russian. Little does she know, Kuze understands Russian, though he pretends not to. Let’s see where this wacky love story takes them!
