Get ready to dive into another one of Yuji Iwahara’s whimsical worlds as his latest manga series, Clevatess, has a TV anime adaptation currently in production. Kadokawa announced the news of the adaptation today alongside releasing the first trailer and teaser visual as well as details on the lead cast and staff members.

The lead cast members announced today include:
Alicia voiced by Haruka Shiraishi (Asirpa in Golden Kamuy)
Clen voiced by Mutsumi Tamura (Kobayashi in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid)
Clevatess voiced by Yuichi Nakamura (Gojo in JUJUTSU KAISEN)
Kiyotaka Taguchi (Ultraman Blazar) directs Clevatess at Lay-duce with the series being the first time Taguchi has directed an animated TV series. Keigo Koyanagi (Brave Bang Bravern!) is writing the series composition, Soichiro Sako (Buddy Daddies) is drawing the character designs and Nobuaki Nobusawa (Mr. Villain’s Day Off) is composing the music.
The original Clevatess manga by Yuji Iwahara (King of Thorn, Dimension W) began publishing on the LINE Manga web platform in August 2020 and has been collected into seven volumes. A horizontal version is also being published by Kadokawa, with two collected volumes.
Clevatess follows the titular Demon King who is being hunted by 13 heroes, including Alicia, who has dreamt of being a hero since she was a kid. After trying to slay the Demon King, the heroes cause more issues for the human races, finding only one way to save humanity – entrusting a single baby to Clevatess.
