As Reo and Nagi tear up theaters in their own movie, the official Twitter account for BLUE LOCK today announced that the anime’s much-anticipated second season will officially commence in October 2024! A commemorative illustration by manga artist Yusuke Nomura was also attached.
Based on the award-winning manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, Tetsuaki Watanabe (Haikyu!! episode director) directed BLUE LOCK and assistant-directed by Shunsuke Ishikawa (Sword Art Online Alicization episode director) at studio eightbit (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). Ishikawa acts as director for the -EPISODE NAGI- movie.
