Soon after the broadcast of the 13th episode in Japan on June 29, the official website for the golf-themed TV anime Oi! Tonbo announced that its second season is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2024. According to the site, the new season’s story is set in Kumamoto Prefecture. And the first season’s rerun will also begin on the TV Tokyo Network stations on July 6.

The first season of the TV anime adaptation of Ken Kawasaki (story) and Yu Furusawa’s (arts) golf-themed manga Oi! Tonbo aired for 13 episodes from April 6 to June 29, 2024. The synopsis reads:
Igarashi, who Left the past behind and running away from the world, moved to the Tokara Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture. On Hinoshima Island, which is said to be “the last unexplored region in Japan,” Igarashi meets Tonbo, the only junior high school student on the island. The innocent girl has an incredible talent for golf! This encounter will change the destiny of the two…
