After being adapted into an anime, a live-action TV drama and a live-action movie, as well as selling over four million copies since May 2017, Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki’s My Home Hero manga announced with a new color illustration today that the crime thriller series will be calling time after five more chapters.
Takashi Kamei (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind episode director) directed the My Home Hero anime at Tezuka Productions, with series composition by Kohei Kiyasu (Run with the Wind), character designs by Masatsune Noguchi (MEGALOBOX 2: NOMAD animation director) and music by Kenji Kawai (Mob Psycho 100).

After killing his daughter’s abusive yakuza boyfriend to save her, ordinary salaryman Tetsuo Tosu becomes embroiled in the dark criminal underworld. The wish for a simple life he and his wife Kasen had for their daughter has been reduced to a wish for survival. Though middle-aged and weak, he’ll put his life on the line using only his wits in order to protect his family.
