June 29, 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the Japanese broadcast of the final episode of Creamy Mami, the Magical Angel, and to celebrate Studio Pierrot has announced the production of a new magical girl TV anime series. A teaser trailer and a teaser image (below) have been revealed for the as-yet-untitled new project.
The visual includes a tag-line that translates to:
“I want you to sing once more…”
Pierrot produced 5 magical girl anime series beginning with Cream Mami, the Magical Angel in 1983 and concluding with Fancy Lala, the Magic Stage in 1998. In addition to the new magical girl TV series announcement, an official website and a dedicated social media feed for these five series have also been published.
