BEASTARS creator Paru Itagaki officially has another series making its way to the screen. Itagaki’s SANDA manga has inspired a TV anime adaptation, with anime studio Science SARU (DAN DA DAN, Inu-Oh) tapped to handle animation production.The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account are now live. Set in a future with a declining birth rate, SANDA follows a boy named Sanda who finds out his classmate, Shiori Fuyumura, plans to kill him because of a “curse” he carries and Fuyumura’s missing friend. After launching in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine in July 2021, the SANDA manga recently came to an end. The 14th volume hit stands in Japan on June 7, 2024, with the 15th to follow on August 7.Source: Comic Natalie
