The official YouTube channel for the six-member Japanese girl vocal group Little Glee Monster began streaming a music video for their 23rd CD single song “ORIGAMI” on July 12. The emotional ballad is now featured as the ending theme for the summer 2024 TV anime Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin.The song was produced with a focus on “Japanese” elements, with the songs title referring to the Japanese art of paper folding. While the melody line and instruments create a Japanese atmosphere, it deeply echoes Little Glee Monster’s signature harmonies.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin Anime Creditless Ending Movie
Little Glee Monster made their major debut from Sony Music Records in October 2014, releasing 22 CD singles and seven full albums to date. Their well-known anime theme song works include “Dakara, Hitorijyanai” (My Hero Academia second ending theme), “Over” (BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS second opening theme), and “TomeinaSekai” (Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon second ending theme).The CD single of “ORIGAMI” is set to release in Japan on August 7, 2024. Prior to the CD release, the song is now available on digital services.

The TV anime adaptation of Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin – based on the 2020 action RPG developed by Edelweiss – premiered in Japan on July 6, 2024.
