Japanese singer Kujira, also known as Whale Don’t Sleep, released a music video for his latest digital single song, “Wagamama,” on his official YouTube channel. The song is now featured as the opening theme for the summer 2024 TV anime Senpai is an Otokonoko. Kujira introduces this video that he shows himself in various cross-dressing outfits on his official X (formerly Twitter) as “The answer for those of us who are tired of caring too much about a society we were not born wanting must be…” and also said, “One of my dreams was to become ‘super cute,’ and this collaboration and music video made that dream come true. It was like a dream all the way through the shoot.”

“Wagamama” released digitally on July 5. Kujira also provides the anime’s ending theme song, “Are ga Koi Datta no kana” (Shape of Love), featuring Nishina as the vocalist. The song will be available on digital services on July 17.

The TV anime adaptation of Pom’s romance manga Senpai is an Otokonoko premiered in Japan on July 4, 2024.
