Avex picture’s official YouTube channel today began streaming the main trailer for KING OF PRISM -Dramatic PRISM.1-, a upcoming compilation film based on the KING OF PRISM -Shiny Seven Stars- TV series that aired in 2019.
The clip introduces the film’s theme song “LINK WORLD” performed by the anime franchise’s seven-member unit SePTENTRION, consisting of Shin Ichijo, Taiga Kogami, Yukinojo Tachibana, Kakeru Juouin, Minato Takahashi, Yu Suzuno, and Leo Saionji. The unit was formed in the TV anime’s final 12th episode.The film centers on a new Prism Show Championship, titled “PRISM.1”. Selected members from both Edel Rose and Schwarz Rose compete in a number of performances. The film is re-edited as “Dramatic PRISM.1,” a special program featuring an “exclusive live” broadcast of the show. The live announcer is Fumihiko Tachiki, well-known for his narrating works for popular Japanese martial arts programs, such as PRIDE (the title logo of PRISM.1 is an obvious homage to that of PRIDE). He also narrates the first part of this main trailer.Additionally, a new poster-style visual for PRISM.1, the Prism Show Championship depicted in the film, was released.
SePTENTRION’s debut album “We are SePTENTRION!!!!!!!”, which includes the film’s theme song “LINK WORLD” and nine other songs, is set to release on September 18, 2024. The album will also include a bonus track, a newly recorded mini-drama in which the seven members look back on their past activities. The jacket illustration newly drawn Mai Matsuura, the anime’s character designer, was also revealed.

KING OF PRISM -Dramatic PRISM.1-, the first feature film in four years from the KING OF PRISM anime franchise, is set to release in theaters across Japan on August 16, 2024.The KING OF PRISM franchise originally launched in January 2016 as a spin-off to the 2013-2014 TV anime Pretty Rhythm: RainbowLive, the third installment of the Pretty series co-produced by Tatsunoko Production and Dong Woo Animation. Its first film KING OF PRISM by Pretty Rhythm released in January 2016, and its sequel KING OF PRISM: Pride the Hero followed in June 2017. Its third installment, KING OF PRISM: Shiny Seven Stars screened in theaters first in four chapters from March to May 2019, and its 12-episode TV series edition aired from April to July 2019. After appearing in the Prism King Cup representing Edel Rose, and getting a glimpse of what it was like to a be a future Prism Star, Ichijo Shin entered Kakyoin Academy’s High School division in spring and became a first-year high school student. Koji, Hiro, and Kazuki from Over The Rainbow left Edel Rose and established a new agency.Meanwhile, after having the title of Prism King stolen by Hiro, the leader of Schwarz Rose, Norizuki Jin, proposes PRISM.1, which would decide a new king other than Prism King. He then announces that Schwarz Rose and Edel Rose will be competing with each other.
